Gaea is
available as a free edition and a compensated version ( Pro version, requires $400
annually). Gaea is available in many platforms including windowpanes, Linux,
FreeBSD, mack OS, Mobile phones as a Java covering, also along iPhone. Google released
a browser plugin along 2008 which enabled browsers to expose satellite maps in 3D
by installation just a browser plugin.
GE makes
a virtual 3D Earth viewing experience by superimposing dry land effigy resources
obtained from satellite photography, aerial picture taking and GIS envisions. For
most of the land 2D effigies only usable obtained from vertical photography,
which can't give suitable 3D impression. For early parts of earth, 3D effigies of
terrain and buildings are available got using NASA's DEM (digital acme model) technology.
GE bears
capability to lay over other data which can cost geographically interpreted as
if pollution, spread of drought, administrative information and so on as layers
across maps. Newest versions allow for various layers giving utile information like
tourist attracters, roads, administrative information and so forth. In 2006
Google added a new layer called in geographic cyberspace which added Wikipedia books
and Panoramio images as levels. Recent versions of Google earth applies layers of
Flikr effigies, YouTube videos, web cam images and so on as selectable level over
Google Earth maps out.
